Ellen assists Ms. Kruger on all U.S. immigration matters, with particular emphasis on family-sponsored immigration, including Petitions for Alien Relative, Applications to Adjust Status, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, VAWA applications, and immigrant visa applications. She also assists with naturalization applications, re-entry permits, returning resident visas, and U.S. passport applications. Ellen assists Ms. Kruger with defending our clients in removal proceedings, including applications for asylum, withholding of removal, relief under the Convention Against Torture, cancellation of removal for both lawful and non-lawful permanent residents, adjustment of status, voluntary departure, and other forms of relief from deportation.
Ellen is a native of Western New York, and a 2007 graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and French and Francophone Studies. Prior to joining Richards & Kruger, Ellen worked as an Immigration Specialist and an Accredited Representative before the Board of Immigration Appeals. Ellen enjoys cooking, trying new foods, and international travel.
